Looking for mkt value on a Grade a '67 Firebird
Could you guys give me some guidance on the value of a car a friend of mine has decided to sell.
It is a red '67 Firebird 400 vert. It has a black top and is about 4.5 on a scale of 5. The interior and body is basically perfect. It has 80,000 miles and is original.
Just looking for a rough value.
Thanks for the help.

Well there are many things that determine value.
Is this an all # matching car?
If so and its orginal paint, orignal int, basically all stock from factory. You can go anywhere from 11 - 15k maybe more.
Non # matching and some underbody rust or something like that will bring it down significantly. Anywhere from 7 - 10k.
Hope this helps.

If its as clean as you say, maybe more. Around here 1st gen f-birds go for about the same as Camaros, sometimes more since there seems to be fewer. A clean convertible might fetch $20-25k US in these parts.
The value of these old cars will really only get higher, if kept in good condition. Since they announced the termination of the Camaro/Firebird, that increased the car's price. Now, every day that goes by, another car gets totaled, making the cars more rare.. so the price can only go up.
Also; don't trust the websites too much that give you a general price. They don't really take into account how many cars are left.
Items are only as valuable as what somebody will pay for them.
Someone desperate out there might want a first-gen Firebird and would pay any amount
