Just picked up another Camaro
I just made a deposit on a 67 coupe for my son.

It looks the mods I was planning for my 67 RS are going on hold for a short time.
Stay tuned.

To be honest, his 96 Mustang GT has become a bigger PITA than I ever imagined. He doesn't know how to work on it. I don't know Fords, and its so modifed, very few mechanics will touch it.
This Camaro was one of those little old man, its been sitting in storage for 30 years stories. The guy I'm getting it from bought it in an estate sale. The original 327-210HP was frozen so he dropped in another 67 327-210HP (its a non-air model so no smog whatsoever, and I also get the original long block.) I just happened to call the classic car dealer I got my 67 RS from and this car was getting ready for paint (its his business partner's son's car). So I went over to look at it yesterday and its super straight, all original with no rust. He had been using it for a daily driver since he picked it up so its 100% mechanically sound. (White, Gold deluxe interior, 3spd man, vinyl top.) So he said well for a little more money I can have it painted any color I want.
So basically we worked out a deal where he paints it and does a couple other things, and I'll finish the interior and whatever trim and brightwork is missing. My kid has the certain look he wants, so its getting a ZL2 hood, rear spoilers and is being painted Dupont 5535 Med. Metallic Blue with white Z/28 stripes.
The beauty of it is, there are a few trim pieces on it that I can use on my 67RS, and since we'll be switching the interior to black deluxe, my kid won't need them.

I was at the shop Friday and an old guy walks in and tells me he just sold a 68 SS (supposedly real) with 57000 miles on it for $5,000 cause he wanted it out of the garage. I think he was maybe out of his mind but some people there said he does that **** cause he has so much money.
Highly modded stangs are a mess to work with - was it blown?
