inner-wheel well.
inner-wheel well.
Do I need my inner wheel wells??? Im doing some hardcore mods this winter, im dropping in an LT1 with a built 700r4 and, im not sure if im going to pull off the fenders and nose off to install the motor, but i well be getting in there ripping out all the old wires and everything, got a new wiring harness for it, and everything, and i was think about running the car with out innerwheel wells, i know they help with mud and rocks and crap, yes the car is a street car, summer and early fall drivin car...
i would like some input on this, plz.
oh ya who makes tube parts like k-members and such for 2ndgens?

I'm sure you don't NEED them, but you ought to take a look to see what all is attached to them. anything that is attatched there will need to be attached SOMEWHERE. Might need to do some deletes or some mods.
I hope you don't ever plan on driving your car in the rain... or on dirty roads... or over gravel... or at high speeds. I also hope you don't mind washing your engine compartment at least 10 times a week, because EVERYTHING will be splashed/thrown up into your engine bay (water, mud, ROCKS).
Taking out your fenders lets LOOOOTS of air into your engine bay. At high speeds (as low as 60 mph), this creates LOTS of air resistance and LOTS of front-end lift. Why don't you want them? Like SLO SS said, there's lots of stuff attatched to them, and taking them out would require finding other places on your firewall, which will make it look busy and cluttered.
