Question Hydraulic Roller in a 67 Camaro

I am posting this for a friend of mine:

I am planning on putting Crane's Powermax roller camshaft (.509/.528 lift) with the Retrofit hydraulic roller lifters in my 67 Camaro and wanted to know if i need to "dial" in the cam. In the installation instructions it says something about camshaft buttons and dialing it in. someone explain this to me please.
