How much do you think this is worth:

I have found what appears to be a 1st gen camaro convertible. The car is gutted (no interior, no chrome, no engine/trans). I have told the guy that I'm interested in buying, but he did not yet know if he was going to sell it - and if so how much. How much do you think it's worth?

I don't have any pictures, but the car looks fairly straight with the exception of the lt rear qtr panel which looks like it has some sheetmetal damage. the lt and rt fenders are there along with the front clip - with the excpetion of the front facia/bumper/grille, etc...

I have a 2nd gen that is much more complete, but I'm thinking about selling out since a convertible would be a LOT nicer, plus it's a 1st gen which has always been my favorite.

So, what do you guys think?

Less than $1000 for sure. A car that bad off is gonna cost you a fortune in parts, especially a convertible. Rust on the inside??? if so. not worth it.

Hmm... you are probably right. I think I'll take another look at it this weekend and see how bad it is...if it looks like crap I'll pass... I figured a 1st gen convertible resto project would be hard to find nowadays adding to it's value.
