Holley Help

Hey all well i got this carb cheap the other day, and i was lookin at it and it seems to be missing some parts. Im not a carb guy myself, but its a holley 650cfm vac secondary electric choke, but it seems that the choke has been takin off, but one of the screws is still in the hole, on one side it has the screw thingy that the fuel rail goes in, and the other side doesn't.... umm that flap on the top... umm what else...

what do i need to get? and if the carb is electric choke does it have to be an electric choke or can i just use it the way it is... umm well ya i need some help guys

thx

Are both holes that the fuel line fittings go into threaded? I cant tell from the pictures. If so you will need a "fuel log" or do what I have done with mine. Get the # off the carb, should be a 4*** number stamped all over the place. On the top by the choke horn usually has it. And yes, you have no choke.
I would not bolt that on until I opened it up and had a look Nathan. It only takes one TINY peice of dirt to clog a passage and screw it all up. Buy a rebuild kit (less than $50Cdn) and a can of carb clean and we will rebuild it. Unless you trust the guy that is. We will also have to rejet it maybe. I just trade jets at work so dont have any here.

I might have a choke for that and some linkage for the choke as well. I'll chsck into it today.

I would rebuild it also. If it has the stock jets in there you should be okay. Probably a 67 primary but get the 4xxx number and check the holley site as to which jets came stock.

Talos, you might want to take up Cory's offer on that rebuild idea. That carb looks to me like its seen better days, and no way would I put that thing on until I had it apart for a look-see. A proper rebuild and fresh gaskets will get you started in the right direction.

ya im going to rebuild it, i may get a rebuild and a trick kit.

the thing that bothers me the most is that screw that broken off. im taking the carb to my buddy that my local mechanic, he knows someone that works alot with carbs so hes going to see what he can get me for a total over haul.

as for the p/n i can't find a 4*** # on the damn thing, but i do have the original box and the # on the side of it says 80783 and i looked that up on the holley site and i belive its a 4150 series carb

thx for the help guys ill post again with what i find out tomorrow.
