how do i adjust the valve floats

 

you can't adjust the valve floats, it would need all new valve springs for whatever cam your running.

 

for some reason i see one engine that is not going to live very long

 

i also see the same thing, and i also wonder WHY he wants to spin it so high if the motor obviously isn't built for it.

 

well thanks for the help. ill just shift it at 5800. how fast do u think the cars top speed is. with 26 inch tall tires.is it aroud 125 mph or so?

 

yea you probably floated the valves, check the mileage on the springs and see about getting the valve springs checked for pressure, go from there, if you need new springs get em, otherwise, i'd check the carb jetting next

 

final drive gear at 5800 rpms at 4.11-1 at 13 times 2 times Pi divided by 12 and then 5280 er w/e ft/mile, there are calculators online otherwise
