Help me build it..

Just bought a 400sbc out of a 1970 Monte Carlo, 4 bolt main, has a Edlebrock performer intake and Holly Avenger 670, for a project vehicle. Looking for about 450-475fwhp, pump gas, reving to the 6800 rpm range and will have a 700R behind it. Not going to run any boost or power adders, just straight up N/A, also don't really want to get into stroking it. I don't want to have to deal with block clearance issues, cam clearance.. over heating, blah blah blah.. What would you guys recommend for heads, cam, pistons, I or H beam rods, converter ext.. Money of course is an object but yet I also want it to live for awhile. This is a project for the rest of summer, fall and winter so I've got plenty of time to wait on more expensive parts where required. I see a lot of the heads call for steam holes drilled. What is that about, I've not heard of that before? This will be my first serious Chevy build, have done plenty of AMC motors so this will be fun. Thoughts.. opinions.. comments?
