Ok, This is probably a stupid question, but anyways what is the diffrence between a 383 piston and a 350 .30 piston?

Theoretically, none.

The most common way to build a 383 these days is to stroke a 350 and bore it .030 over.

Compression height, with a 5.7 rod at 0 deck a 355 piston is 1.585 inches compression height, with a 5.7 rod at 0 deck a 383 piston is 1.450 inches compression height

Forgot to mention what compression height was. The way I like to describe it is as "The distance from the center of the wrist pin to the top of the flat part at the top of the piston, not the dish or dome.
