I've got a 1999 350 gm goodwrench engine that I'm trying to troubleshoot.

It's backfiring out the open headers and missing when going down the road. It also is dying out at about 3500rpm and wont go any faster.

I think I may have the firing order off...can you guys tell me if this is right.

On the distributer going clockwise it's 18346572 right?

Also what are the actual cylinder numbers? like starting from one going right to left when your looking at the engine it's

Order is 18436572. And the cylinder layout is correct.

 

yeah, switch the 3 and 4.

most of the time people mess up the 5 and the 7.
