Engine help

I'm building my 1st 69 camaro. Just wondering what engine i should install. 383 stroker,396,402, or evan a 454? i'm also thinking about switching to a 4 or 5 speed manual trans. The car will not be raced but i will get on her. I just don't want a muscle car with out the muscle. Any info will help thanks

427-BBC, 10-10.5:1 C/R ,292-298* Camshaft, ported / polished heads with stainless steal valves, and Forged internals most definitely

Back it up with a nice 6spd manual trans, 4.10 -4.56 gear's, and 235/60R15 on front and 295/50R15 on the rear.

Yep good to go

LS1/LS6 w/ t56 is a good combo, same combo I have in my 73 its a good bet and since there are kits out there for it you can do it at home and it didn't break my bank too much...(originally I wanted an LS7)..tho I dont recommended if you haven't had the experience plus Fuel Injection is sweet because I get way better gas mileage and still have 350hp to play with (more to come) basic bolt-ons and if budget allows get the cam/heads and you should be on your way to some happy tail play. and the 10 or 12 bolt you have will handle the power better than our 4th gens rear end if you ever wanna go big.
