Double Hump Heads 327
#16
the 254 cam is pretty big and would be a decent cam to take advantage of the larger heads. the heads make a big part of a cam selection. list what other heads you like and get some more suggestions. this cam would be way to large for stockers or sr torquers. most of the 200cc heads have rather large valve springs that may be to much.
if you wanted a decent motor on the cheap you could go with patroit performance vortecs. the 246 cam, performer rpm,750 and have acheap street motor

I'm a fan of the old Double Hump heads, but only 2.02's that are worth hanging onto. I happen to have two sets of originals off of 68 and 69 DZ motors. Nice heads, but even the best of them won't match aluminum's. The Darts will clearly make more power and are the way to go in that regard, but the cost will set you way back. On the positive, they will be three angle valves, stainless, and with hardened seat for unleaded gas. You can also run a full point higher on compression with the same octane just by running aluminum heads. Good luck
