Hey Guys:

64 Impala convertable with power steering. All of a sudden the wheel is turning on its own. Its taking all my strength to keep it straight. Its not a simple alignment issue.

What part of the steering could cause that?

 

Try taking the belt off and drive it and see if it still does it....if its does then its prob. the pump.

 

Is that PS a linkage assist arrangement and was it serviced recently?
