Can I Get a Good second gen T/A for under $3000?

It doesn't have to be perfect just running a look decent. What are my chances? Alos where cn I look on the net? Autotrader.com only goes back to '82. Also what were the best motors available stock and what were the best ones to mod. Thanks guys.

Yeah, when my new motor gets put in I'll be askin' about 3,500... That is with mine being in great shape... New paint, new tires... New interior, stereo system, new engine, etc... So I think it's safe to say you could do well for 3,000.

It depends on exactly what year you want. The later ones (78-810 go for pretty cheap. Check out e-bay motors. There's a decent variety of cars on there.

for new old cars

Here is the place you want to look in http://www.collectorcartraderonline.com/. It has all the old cars and it is way easier to do a search than with Autotrader.
