best aftermarket heads for chevy 302

Is anyone aware of folks using aftermarket heads and seeing big rwhp gains on a chevy 302 MO/DZ motor? We are going to do some more research but my friend wants to bolt on a new set of heads to his 69 DZ 302.

if anyone has ideas for that id also like to know, Im not planning on changing the heads.. but one day down the line if I need more power, and I have more $$ it might be something to look into!

Well in my opinion on of the best head manufacturers on the market is AFR. Brodix also makes a very good quality.
This is not specific info but might get you pointed in the right direction.

AFR makes a great head but if you want something a little cheaper and 99% as good then I would look at the Pro Topline heads which are available in either cast iron or aluminum. I would stick with something in the 180cc range for a 302.

I have flowed both brands and can tell you that on my bench the AFR numbers were exactly what they advertised and the Pro Topline heads were just a couple cfm lower on the intake but a couple cfm higher on the exhaust if you want to compare. Both brands pretty well spank a comparably sized Brodix or Dart head.
