Approx HP from my 305? please give me your best approximation
I have a stock 305 from a mid 80's camaro in my FB. Here is what I am gonna do. Throw in a .450/.450 lift 212/218 duration (approx) stock heads with new springs. Performer RPM intake and Holley 750 carb, Pro-form Billet HEI. Everything else is STOCK! Will is satisfy me until I get a 350 or 400? The reason I am doing this is because it was smoking and missing real bad, so I took off the heads to have them redone for $110 total, and decided to do the cam just for curiosity, please let me know what you think, thanks, I will let you know how it turns out

I'm not sure about your power but I would think that a 750 cfm carb is too big. I would also go for a Demon carb but I'm biased
Will it satisfy you? I don't know it really depends on the person. For some people a stock camaro is scary to ride in but the next guy you talk to will say its nothing special and just okay.
I used a Proform HEI for a while and it is really nice. For the price they're a great buy. I also heard they're made by MSD so you're not really buying the name with Proform

Power is in the heads. I'm not sure what you have, but spend your money on a set.

If this engine was originally a 4BBL from the mid 80's, it's a 155 hp LG4 engine. It has the "305 HO" heads on it. (1.84/1.50 valves).
The cam might pop the power up somewhat.
The carb will kill it though - it'll be a total dog.
If this engine was a 305 with the 2BBL (mid to late 70's vintage) it's the LG3 and the cylinder heads on it would be boat anchors.

750 cfm is way too big, go with a 600. You'll probably end up with 275-300 hp. Not bad at all for a temporary engine.
