anyone here swap in a 4th gen interior?
ive seen one swapped into a 2nd gen before, just wondering if anyone heres done it. and if so how hard was it? i have a complete car at my disposal. any help will be appreciated.
ah hem
Seats are a directbolt in with stock tracks, but if your wanting power don't bet ur luck on it if u like ur head on the roof ok... fine.
Center colsole will fit fine, with a few new bolts of course.
The dash will the biggest task, getting a very good interior guy will be the way to go... other then getting a custom to trimmed down dashpad the dash will fit with some proswading(sp?), also being that ur putting an LT1 in there, ur looking good for stock gauges also... most carb guys that do this swap have to look into aftermarket gauges which is a pain... but ya.
if ur looking for a complete interior swap, get in contact with a pro interior guy.. there an awesome local too roy.. name is Ben Gay can't remember how its spelt but ya, he does custom rod interior and what not.. on marine dr. in north van.
I know of a website with instructions, ill try and find it for ya.

thanks a lot, after we do mine we can do yours, i got a 97 camaro interior and another lt1/a4 you can buy and drop into your car, that way youll actually enjoy it rather then wanting to sell it
yeha i know, and its prolly cause of the mismatch of parts. just save some dough and get my lt1/a4 setup with harness and pcm, then the interior to go with your seats. then youll be happy with good mileage and power. i mean youve invested lots of dough up to this point, may as well put in a few more and enjoy it.
I just put in 94 TA seats in my 81. They were not a direct bolt in for me. I had to put the 81 tracks on the 94 seats and that took a little modification but I didn't need a welder and the 81 tracks can be put back on the 81 seat no problems. Most guys cut and weld tabs or drill new holes in the floor but I found a much easier way that uses the factory 81 mounting.
K.I.S.S. That's my motto!
Oh yeah they look MUCH better than the stock seats as well.
