anyone have a factory service manual for a '78 F-body?Pinion depth quesiton..

Does anyone have a factory service manual for a '78 T/A with the corp. 10 bolt that could look up the factory installed pinion depth..

I need to know this to help me set up my new pinion.. my factory pinion is a -1 (-.001) less than the standard factory pinion depth..

if I get this I can take my factory shim and this info and convert it to the new ring and pinion depth.. thanks.. this information will really help me out!

There is no factory depth. Each gear set takes it's own depth. I never use the etched numbers anyway, I go by the pattern. That's what really counts. 75% of the time, the original shim will be the correct one for the new pinion. If it isn't, the pattern will tell you if you have to add or remove shim thickness.
