Re: Anyone had a smoke problem with a zz4?

The ZZ4 is a very reliable engine. GM has not upgraded this engine since 1996 because all known issues in the ZZZ family (ZZZ, ZZ1, ZZ2 and ZZ3) from 1989 to 1996 were all addressed in the ZZ4.

White smoke indicates either a failed headgasket or crack somewhere allowing coolant into the combustion chamber.
