i have a megashifter and no console right now, and I want to put a console in but dont want to lose the shifter. anyone ever put one in a console without it lookin jacked up?

I built my console out of some 1/2" thick press board crap then covered it with a layer of foam, then wrapped it with leather. You would never know the difference. I mean it looks a lot different than stock obviously but it still looks clean. Plus if you do it that way you can add things like guage holders, switch holes, and even drink holders or a small storage bin

 

Yeah, I have one in my '68 right now. It's a B&M Megashifter for console. I had to make a few modificatons to the top trim plate of the console to get it to sit flat, but I think it turned out pretty good.
