Has a 78 Trans a limited sleep rear end from factory?
I can buy a 78 trans rear end complett, with brake included for a little money (about 60$), but it is not a limited sleep it is not interested me.Thanks.

Not all trans-am were posi. To check get both wheels off the ground and turn one wheel. The other wheel should spin in the same direction. If both wheels turn the same direction it is posi. If only one wheel spins or they spin in different directions it is not posi (or the posi is worn out)

The USUAL reason for buying a T/A rear of that vintage is becuase some of them had rear disc brakes (that the Camaro of that era never got). It was a performance option and so I believe all disc-brake rear ends came with posis, but don't quote me on that.
For sure, anything that old is probably in need of a posi rebuild or replacement anyway.
