72 formula info wanted

looking into buying a 72 formula

how do they handle and can they be upgraded to handle anywhere as good as a 3rd gen ?

how much do they weigh?

it has pont 400/turbo400 automatic and dual scoop hood

Formula's could be optioned with the Trans Am suspension, but some of the early Cars (Formula's) only had 14" wheels. A typical T/A could pull .80 G's on the skidpad with good rubber. Upgrades are available from a number of manufacturers. Modern tires can go a long way towards better handling for these Cars.

Hell, buy it for the restoration factor! That car could be worth some serious cash if it is restored. The formulas are not well known becuase the T/A eclipses them, but they have just about the same level of performance. Plus, I think they look better.
