The 70 is in the 10's
I built a little 386 cube small block (4.155" bore/3.56" stroke) over the winter, and dropped it in our 70 Camaro. Yesterday was the 3rd time out with the car, and it went 10.90 @ 124.5 MPH.
We've still got to play with the suspension some judging from the pathetic 1.54 60 ft. times. This car should go 1.30's.
The motor isn't anything special...A completely home built engine.
.030" over 400 block
3.56" stroke crank
6.125" rods
JE flat top pistons
Box Stock Dart "Iron Eagle" 230 CC heads with 2.08"-1.60" valves
Lunati 268/276 @ .050" .646" lift solid roller
Edelbrock "Victor" intake
Holley 950
One of the rear coil overs is leaking. We're getting ready to put a set of QA1's on it, and put it in the chassis shop to get the suspension sorted out.
We were looking for a mid 10 second car when the original plans were laid out. Hopefully we'll be close
Frank

NICE
I just got my engine in last night ( a lil more cam and a lil more compression then the last one)... I don't think I'll be runnin times that fast though, those are impressive times man!
