69 z28 driveshaft question

i was wondering if anyone knows why the yokes on a 69 z28 driveshat are offset (not phased)

I thought all driveshafts were like that or the u-joints would be fighting each other and causing the shaft to wobble.

i was told it had something to do with the rear suspension but i wasnt sure of the exact reason
