I'm going to check out a '68 SS and was wondering if you guys could give me some ideas of potential problems with the car that i should watch out for. I mean, I'm gonna be on the look out for any problems obviously, but anything in particular that i need to keep my eye on? also, can anyone point me in the direction of where i can find good info on modding a first gen camaro?

 

Look for rust around the rear windshield, lower parts such as rear quarters, rocker panels, bottom of doors, floorboards including and especially the trunk. See how well the doors close, lock and unlock and windows roll up and down. All of these things can be repaired, but all of them together would be alot of work. I'm sure that some other folks may have more tips for you that I haven't thought of.

check the vin number. i just found out today my 1967 camaro "SS" was originally a 1967 inline 6 piece of trash. so check the vin. if u dont know how to read it. post it here. i or someone else will tell you
