67 Camaro rear window resto

I am starting to restore my 67 Camaro and the only rust on the car is some in the floor pans and around the back window. I am going to replace the floor pans with new ones, but I can't find anyone that makes a repair section for the area around the back window. I have been told that somebody makes it, but I can't who it is or if someone really does. Any help, Please!! My only other option is to fab the section myself.

If you are talking about the piece between the window and the trunk lid I think Year One has them.

Classic also makes the piece between back windshield and trunk if that is what you are talking about, if you are talking about the window itself I went through a whole fabrication process with my window molding clips because of rust damage, I can give you some ideas.

Yes, I am talking about the area all the way around the back window. The tabs for the molding clips are still in place, but there is some rust above and below the tabs. Thank you for any help.

You are actually lucky, my car had a few clips completely rusted off. The body shop i took it to bought replacement clip studs and new clips and just fabricated new metal into the slots, if you are only missing a small amount of metal any good body shop should be able to fabricate it. I have also heard of guys cuting the whole back windshield section out of a non-rusted car, but your rust isnt that bad, and finding a 67 with no rust at a junkyard isnt likely. I would talk to body shops and find out about fabricating new metal. I had one shop tell me they would fill it in with Bondo, and i laughed at them and walked out. Make sure its quality work, this is one thing not to go cheap on.

Also look for rust in the dash at the bottom of the front windshield, also a common place for rust, and better to fix it now.
