Need some input. I have a +.030 400 I'm thinking about getting rid of. 2 Bolt block has factory dish pistions, factory rods, factory crank turned 10/10. All new cam/rod/main bearings, new rings. Extreme Energy Cam 240/246 @.050, new double roller timing chain and gears (all assembled). Casting #330817. Just curious what I should ask for it.

 

Ive seen 400 cores go for as high as 300 smacks..Search the local tradin times type of papers to see what others are getting..I think its very dependant on the area..When i was in philly big blocks went for $1000 as cores and here in atlanta i see them running for 750 or so..

I have a buddy that sold one of my old street race 400s in LA for 6500 when the best off i got in philly was 4 grand..

The factory rods in your block kinda kill it for selling for performance..But it is fresh and id say its worth no less than $500 as a shortblock..I didnt see you say anything about the heads..

 

how much do u got into it...If someone is looking for one im shure u can get a good dollar for it

 

2 bolt mian 400 just a junk REBUILDABLE CORES are wirth $750 here a runner is a ****ty runner weak and tired sel's for $1000-$1300.
Good runner's are $2000+
