327 1/4 time
I have a 67' Camaro with the 210 Hp 327. So far i have added a 600 cfm holley, performer rpm manifold, gear drive, GM HEI, Dynomax headders, 2 and a 1/4 inch exhaust with flowmaster mufflers, and a Crane Enegergizer cam with 222 to 222 at .050 duration and .467 intake .467 exhaust lift, with Crane Springs. I have 3.08 gears in the back with a two speed 'Glide. I was wondering what 1/4 mile times i could expect? I was think low 15s to high 14s.
As soon as i have the funds i plan on buying 3.55 or some 3.73 gears. What would be the best choice for heads for my car? I was thinking with going with some Camel humps, or maybe the GM Vortec heads. I am sort of on a budget, but don't want to go too cheap. Any Ideas or thoughts would be great. I was just trying to warm up the little 327 into a low 14 second car. thanks.

373 gears should
get you into the 14's easily with your combo. Maybe a slight torque convertor to help out with the launch. You will still have a very driveable car for the street. Good luck with your machine.later

Here is an interesting tid bit I've found. If you ever see a 327 in a Camaro....it is most likely the 210 HP.
Back when I was younger........way younger, we would hop up cars by doing everything we could think of to the top end. Even getting the die grinders out and doing port jobs to the heads and intake manifolds.
I presently have a 68 camaro that I am rebuilding. It is driver and has the 210hp-327. Well, anyways as the motor, it presently has the Edelbrock Preformer with a 600holley, headman headers, K&N high flow filter, 3.0 exhaust with turbo mufflers.
I started to think.....well the 74cc chambers gotta go and a cam with no more than .488 lift is going in with rollers in some heads off of maybe a 305 HP motor. Probably end up with a motor somewhere in the 300-325 HP range. Then I looked at the cost of doing this and was at some where in the area $1500.
What I am getting at here is these days......we don't need to spend all this money and end up with a nice engine...with no warrenty what so ever. A person can buy a brand new (not a reman.) engine with 330hp for $2495....with a 12 month warrenty.
I know there is pride in building your own motor up........but......when you get right down to it, the bottom line that is. You want a good motor for least amount of money (not to mention one that sounds good and has some power)
With that in mind check out this website: http://www.crate-engines.com/?source=overture
Hope this helps..........Shooter (a 43yo kid) Tim
