If this is going to be a cost/benefit analysis, then he should put a chevy in it.

Like it or not, the 403 olds is the CORRECT motor in that car, since that is what GM installed from the factory.

Furthermore, let's not pretend that Pontiacs don't have their own bottom end problems.

 

The 403 is more then capable of doing the job he wants... no need to change it.
