I have a quick question, and Im sure its a common one. I am looking into buying a camaro, and have been told it is a 1969 z28. How can I be sure it is a z28?? The cowl tag is as follows:

It is not a Z/28. The "X" code would have to be X33 or X77.

 

X22 designates that the car was a big block car. It also had the exterior decor package which may be an RS car. It could still be somewhat valuable as it is.

 

That is not a Z28. The X22 trim tag code means it's an original SS396 car. It will still have quite a bit of value due to the X22 trim tag, maybe even worth more than a Z28.
