I'm attempting to drop the gas tank in my '68; but the bolts are way too long for my socket to fit up into the nut. The deepest socket set I can find is still only 1/2 as long as it needs to be. I can't get a wrench on the nut because the back of the bumper brace is in the way. Has anyone ever dropped their tank... and if so, how the heck did you do it?

Yeah, I had my bumper removed before I got to dropping the tank though.
