sorry, just nitpickin' lol
nice thing about old cars is that emissions dont apply to you
and there is no computer stuff at all excpect for some little things
what jg95z28 said is true you will have to tinker with carbs and such but you will probably learn just like the rest of us
i hardly ever have to play around with a Q JET but for your 454 you will probab;y have to get a thermo quad 800, but i think there is a 850 too out not sure tho

Why would he need a thermoquad? He can use just about ANY carb out there with the right intake manifold. Personally, I'd go with a street demon 750 unless he went with a huge cam and rectangle port heads, some steep gears and planned on running drag race RPMs

i'm still in really sticky situation
I think that the real reason i'm selling my Z is that i dont want to work on it any more.
I have thousands of dollars or parts and another couple grand to go
Waiting to install-
heads &valves
fuel pump
fuel pressure reg
accel ignition
Carbeau seat
I need to get
Cage : $150
LCA: $120
Rear :$1800
Shocks: $500
slicks.skinnies: $1000
5pt harness-$120
dynotune: $350
torque converter $700
Aside from the money, i'm not looking foward to doing this all by myself on jackstands

for a daily driver.... id reccomend against that
Trey, honestly you would be amazed what you can accomplish with jackstands. For example, I pulled my 4L60E transmission from my 67 Firebird a couple weeks ago, and will be reinstalling it in the parking lot with jack stands, and some cheep *** jacks. Just saying that a parking lot isn't the worst place to be--unless it rains.

no one really is intrested in the car. I have a million offers for the heads or motor though
- or even to trade for a stock LT1 (why the hell i'd do that is BEYOND me).
Looks like its time to bust out the wrenches and get this girl into the 11's
