Trying to stay around 7 grand, I do really want an LS1, but I am considering the last car with new engine and tranny. Which car is the best deal?

I would go with the LT1 personally, but thats because thats what i own. I have driven both styles and i dont care for the LS1. In the end it is up to you and what YOU want. Dont let anybody make up your mind for you.

i would stay away from the first car. The rest look like they're worth a look. Buy what you like. The LS1 in 98s are a little different, some oil passages are smaller, and some other little things that only would matter if you are planning on somewhat serious modifications.

Miles don't usually bother me too much. He spelled camaro wrong, numerous errors in the ad. Usually people who do that, know nothing about the car, and therefore do not take car of it. It could be great, but that is just my opinion. A 120k mile car that is maintained will be in great shape, but if it isn't taken care of....you know what i mean?

I'd go with the '95 LT1 new angine and tranny. Can't go wrong with a warranty especially for that price. Just make sure its transferable. I like the Lt1 front end better.

warranty on engine and tranny is transferrable. Think 4500 cash is too low to offer? What would you offer?

Car has 108K on it, engine/tranny has 4K.

If it were me I would offer him $4,500 no more than $5,000. To me it's like a brand new car aside from paint and interior. Blue book it see what its worth with 4k miles.
