2-door
red outside
camel interior
all power
hud
tilt
cruise
leather
heated seat
cd player
alloys
new tires
3.8 v6 supercharged
automatic with performance shift
Brand new top end on the engine, (157k on odometer)
New rear brakes, E-brake does not work.
tires are great (Yokahama T4 Avids)
has some damage (to front fender and side skirt)
suspension is showing its age
abs light on
wipers need to be brought in for nationwide recall service
smokes some.
MODS (everything is from previous owner)-
When I had the engine rebuild done, I pulled everything from the block up. Heads, exhaust manifolds, LIM, SC, TB, alternator, fuel rails, and everything else that goes with.
Purchased a set of heads from a member on here, ended up having heads rebuilt and valve guides replaced before installing.
Ported my exhaust manifolds, wrapped manifolds and crossover in header wrap. Ported and polished my LIM and SC casing. Replaced motor mounts with ZZP poly mounts.
Replaced plugs w/ NGK7IR plugs, wires with PRJ race wires. Used 4 layer MLS head gaskets, replaced full gasket set from there up, used copper spray.
Painted SC casing and snout, front dogbones, and valve covers while engine was apart. Installed TB heat shield when reinstalling TB.
Did full coolant flush while engine was apart. Did not swap to green coolant.
Replaced several vacuum lines that had cracked. Disconnected EGR from exhaust manifold, replaced w/ blockoff plate. EGR still connected to LIM but sucking fresh air
Out from there, the suspension is about what you would expect on a 160k mile car. I just had the recall for the steering rack done (7k miles ago?), replaced the tie rod ends and installed the GMPP suspension package (5k miles ago, end links, sway bars, bushings, trailing arms, etc), and replaced the rear brakes, a broken caliper bracket (siezed bolt in it) and painted the rear calipers last week.

Re: GTP for sale (supercharged)
I used to have a Grand Prix, so I know their weakspots. Some things to check before you sell it are: UIM and LIM along with the gaskets. Make SURE there is no coolant in the oil (obviously) even if there is a slight shine to the oil thats bad. The 97s and 98s were notorious for cracking heads, i mean like a hairline crack bewteen the cylinders, so you didnt know, but they leaked a bit, and turning up boost also opened up those cracks a bit.
Hows the differential on the car? No metal in the tranny pan? The trannies were pretty good in the 97 GTPs, some minor issues slipping when in "regular" rather than "performance" mode. Also what kinda gas have you run in it?
