Assisting my brother with the sale of his 1996 Impala SS. Dark cherry metallic exterior w/ gray leather interior and only 58k miles. This is a 3-owner vehicle and is adult owned. This car is stock with the exception of a CAI. New front brake pads, calipers, flex hoses and four new tires approx 6 months ago. This car is clean with a few minor imperfections. The previous owner (an elderly woman) evidently brushed against something (maybe in her garage or the garage itself) scratching the paint on the front right corner of the bumper cover, the right fender, and there is some light scratching on the rocker panel. No dents to the body panels themselves in these areas. The body is otherwise clean and straight. No body rot or rust. 3 wheels are nearly about perfect; one has curb rash. The interior is in excellent condition with the exception of the light gray carpet and front floor mats, which are stained in some areas (no rear floor mats). This is typical with the light gray carpet found in these cars. Keep in mind we haven’t tried to clean the carpets yet, so this may be a non-issue. The leather seats are in excellent condition, as are the door panels and dash. All accessories work, including the power antenna. However, the heater doesn’t blow very warm. This could be a plugged heater core. If this prevents a sale, we will address the heater issue. The engine runs smoothly with no sputtering or hesitation and the transmission shifts firm. However, the rear differential recently started leaking a bit of fluid. Perhaps this is related to non-use as the car has been sitting in the garage for a while. Again, we have not looked into the source of the leak, but will address the leak if this prevents a sale.

This car is located near Beaumont, Texas but was NOT flooded in Hurricanes Rita or Ike. I am mentioning this because Carfax reports will flag vehicles registered in Jefferson County as having potential flood damage.

Also available are four brand new genuine GM Impala SS wheels still in boxes and a
9C1 air dam to upgrade an SS air dam, brand new from dealer, never installed. Who ever buys the Impala will have the option of purchasing these items first. If they are not interested, these items will be listed for sale separately.
