FS: 1986 Iroc

A link is available with this same information right here: http://www.danielbuck.net/sale

It's not a perfect car by any means, but I have used her for a daily driver for the past 2 1/2 years.

I would like to get $3,000, and would like to sell it before June 15th. I am located in Phoenix Arizona, at 19th Ave and Northern.

Details: Salvage title 1986 Camaro Iroc-Z28. Primer exterior, decent interior (newer seats, new carpet, dash and panels are decent). Early 90's GM 350 4-bolt main truck crate engine. Edelbrock 600cfm Performer carb, GM ZZ4 intake manifold and Mallory Billet HEI distributor, new wires & plugs, new water pump, new steering pump, new alternator, new battery, Melling MTC-1 "torquer" camshaft, Compcams 1.6 roller rockers, matching springs & pushrods. Tires still have good tread, I don't beat on them on race at the track. Have only done one quick burnout on them.

Grant Steering wheel, front seats from a 91 RS, Edelbrock headers, catco 3 inch cat, 3 inch exhaust (cutout before the cat) and a flowmaster muffler (I think, I'm not really sure). New hatch & hood shocks/struts, new hood latch assembly, both the hood and the hatch open up every time and stay up with no troubles.

Rebuilt (1 1/2 years ago) 700R4 transmission with corvette servos, custom built shift kit, and heavy-duty 1800 Stall. The cooling system is holding up very well under this years summer heat. In the years past I have had trouble in the summer, but now with a new water pump, un-clogged water ways and flushed radiator, it's holding up just fine even with 110 degree mid-day sun sitting in traffic.

There is a dent in the rear driver side fender. I guess someone didn't know how to park and I think a bumper scraped into it. Other than that, I believe the body is pretty straight and would only need minor work to be ready for paint (along with the obvious fender damage). The hatch is off of an 87 Camaro because I didn't like the 3rd brake light on the hatch glass.

Things it needs:

* Speed sensor (speedo and odometer don'twork as of a year ago or so)

* Speakers & radio (I have original radio and polk audio 6x9's but they need to be installed, these go with the car)

* Fuel pump installed in the tank (I have the pump), right now it's running on the original FI pump with a regulator. It works fine, but I'm not sure if it's very efficient or not. The new Holly Red pump goes with the car.

* Proper transmission kick down cable bracket. Right now it's zip tied to the throttle bracket, it works but probably "gives" a little making down shifts a tad bit late.

* Dent fixed in the driver-rear fender.

It passes emissions, I pumped the idle up to 1000 just in case, but it still passed well below the limits (even with no EGR, Air pump, or other smog equipment aside from a new Cat)

I really don't want to sell the Camaro, but taking it to California right now is just not practical, and my folks back in Louisiana don't want to hold on to it for me. And, I need the money to get a beater to get around LA in.

Re: FS: 1986 Iroc

I almost forgot, I took out and filled in (with urathane and plastic weld) the original blinkers and turned the fog lights into blinkers. As far as I know, this is the only 3rd gen F-body in the world with this body modification. I asked around on Thirdgen.org and other f-body forums and nobody has ever seen this done before (for better or worse....) If you don't like it, you can pick up another nose cover for very cheap at a salvage yard. I picked one up for $25 to practice the modifications on.

Also shaved off the front emblem, side "door ding" trim, and rear emblems.
