F/S 1997 Trans AM WS6
F/S 1997 Trans AM WS6
I've only had it about 6 months now and I've decided it's time to upgrade again.
It's a black '97 WS6 with just 67,xxx miles. It has been pampered it's entire life from what I can tell. I know the previous owner hardly drove it and was religious about washing it and waxing it. It had never seen snow untill I got it this winter. It was my daily driver, but as soon as I found someone to give me a ride, it sat in my car port as much as possible.
You can tell from the underbody that it's seen very little adverse weather. It would be a great summer cruiser. There is nothing better than a beautiful day with the t-tops off.
There is only one word for this WS6.......CLEAN. It's not very often that you find an LT1 car as clean as this, especially with the WS6 option. I hate to let it go, but I have my eyes set on something just a little bit better.
The car comes with the following......
Mods:
-Pro-5.0 shifter with stick cut off an extra 1/2" or so
-Hurst H Shift ****
-K&N filter
-Aluminum Driveshaft
-Borla Cat-Back
-DMH Electric cutout in place of the Borla tuning plates (very trick)
-Tail Light Blackouts
-Throttle Body Spacer
-Silver "Trans Am" door overlays, Rear "Pontiac" fill as well as silver "Trans Am" and Bird overlay on the rear
-Clear Corners with White bulbs
-SilverStar Headlights
-Silverstar fog light bulbs
-SLP Pressure Plate and Clutch disc (Installed less than 100 miles ago)
-GM OEM flywheel (Installed less than 100 miles ago)
-Brand new Nitto 275/40/17 Drag radials and it will have new front tires before it's sold
Extras:
-Original Build Sheet in a frame
-Different brochures and other literature on the WS6...Including the original Hot Rod showing the '97 WS6
-Paperwork for service
-Possibly a set of Optilux Angel Eyes foglights
-Stock shift ****
I just put a new clutch in by SLP. It has 30% more clamping force and still has a very street friendly feel. I also put a brand new flywheel in when I did the clutch as well as a rear main seal. The rear main I put in was a little jacked up so it went to Andy Mohr Chevrolet in Indianapolis for a new one to be put in. Right before I got the car, it had a new intake manifold gasket put in as well as a new fuel pump. Brakes were done about 1,000 miles ago.
I hate to let the car go, but as usual I feel the need to move on to something different. I can't stay with one car very long. I'm sure there are things I've forgotten, so I will add to this if I remember anything else.
I'm asking $10,300 obo. Private Party for the car is right at $10k so I think this is a very good price for such a clean car with relatively low miles. Any questions, feel free to ask.
*edit-The car has also been dynoed at 275hp and 315tq. It's only been to the track Once and I ran a 14.2@97mph with a completely shot clutch. That was the day before I did the clutch swap.
