Ok, 1997 fbird V6 auto with about 140K in good condition. Car overheated on hwy. Had it towed home thinking just head gasket.... reading P0300 (random miss)... pulled drivers side head & had machine shop clean it up ( replace valve seat??) then I reinstalled with new gasket.... now reading P0304 ( miss on #4)... so I go to take the passenger side heads of and when pulling rods I see some metallic looking bits on the actual push rod thinking bearing but I could be wrong and it just needs the gasket????

Anyways, I've just been to busy with work and haven't had time to do anything with this so I'm looking to sell it cheap to a good home and somebody who will make it into a good project. Used car guy offered me $800 the other day but I don't want to sell it that was I'd much rather sell it to an enthusiast as the car is good ( new tires, upgraded front end, all the rest OK) and the t-tops are great especially in Fl

Ugraded front end? Lt-1 T/A, or 98+?

 

did routine maintiance and replaced a bunch of stock parts with after market parts should imporve on handing; tie rods ball joints all that stuff
