'96 Lingenfelter Z28 for sale

Seeing if there is any interest here in the Camaro Community before listing on ebay....I've enjoyed this great, rare car for 3 years now, but it's time to let it go to a new home. It's a documented LPE car, sent to Lingenfelter for the 383 package when the car was just out of the factory in 1996. It runs and drives great and needs nothing but a few very small cosmetic fixes (detailed in the link below). I'm the 3rd owner, I live in southern CA. The car has 74,5xx miles on the odometer. I'm not sure how many of these cars are out there, but have only seen or heard of a few other ones. (LPE is not too easy to get info from if you're not the original owner!) But one thing for sure, this is no normal Z! Here's a brief list of what it's got:

LT-1 LINGENFELTER 383
440 HP, 430 ft/lbs
11.0:1 COMP. RATIO
6 SPEED TRANSMISSION, HURST SHIFTER
MOSER/FORD 9” REAR END - 4.10 POSI GEARS (new as of last year)
HODGKIS SUSPENSION UPGRADES
CHROME 16 x 8 CRAGAR SS WHEELS
RIKEN RAPTOR RADIALS - 245/50/16 (new)
T-TOPS
COLD A/C
LOADED WITH POWER OPTIONS
NEW ALPINE DECK (iPod hook up)
TAN LEATHER INTERIOR (great cond)
METALLIC GREEN PAINT (good cond)
LS1 programmed for better performance
3" BORLA EXHAUST
SMOG LEGAL!!!! (even in CA)
CLEAR TITLE

PERFORMANCE STATISTICS – (LPE)
0-60 MPH average: 4.2 seconds
1/4 Mile elapsed time: 12.6 seconds at 116mph w/street tires
average horsepower rating: 440 HP
average torque output rating: 430ft/lbs
top speed (R/T 06/95):192.1 MPH
For more information check out Lingenfelter's website www.lingenfelter.com/pac383cidlt1.asp

I can't figure out how to post pics here, (maybe a MAC thing?), but go to the link below for lots of photos, and more details on car.

I'm asking $15k ..... I'm not in a terrible hurry to sell (it's killin' me as it is to let it go!), so I'll give it some time to see if anyone out there thinks it's worth what I do! The LPE package back then was over $18k, making it a $46k car in '96. I think it's a very special car, and want to see it go to someone who thinks the same.

You can email me at davedrums@earthlink.net if interested.

Thanks,

Dave

As a drummer, if this is THE Dave Weckl I am thinking of, I would pay the $15k just to meet you.....the car would just be bonus!

For those of you who may not be familiar with this drumming legend, just do a search on YouTube. You will ne nothing less than amazed!

Good luck on the sale. Bump to the top for one awesome ride.

thanks 9t1 z for the kind words.... being out on the road as much as I am is half the problem! No time to drive it much anymore!

If you know someone interested in the car spread the word!

Thanks too for listening to the music!

Dave
