86 Trans Am - 32,000 miles
86 Trans Am - 32,000 miles
I'm selling my '86 Trans Am. Its a 3 owner car...I've owned it for 13 months. It has a clean Carfax, is PHS documented with a copy of the original invoice and reproduction window sticker, runs perfect, and can be driven anywhere.
Details on the car:
-305 TPI
-Automatic
-Power windows, locks, drivers seat
-Hardtop
-Optioned with posi, rear disc brakes, larger optional 235/60/15s (has Comp TAs with 50% life left)
-A/C (holds pressure, needs a compressor...worked for awhile last Summer then died)
-Custom cloth interior
The previous owner owned it for 5 years, and put only 2,000 miles on it in that time. The work he did in those 2,000 miles...
-4 new brakes
-Exhaust (OEM type)
-ECM and MAF
-New plug wires, cap & rotor
-New belts
After I purchased it, I did...
-New plugs
-Changed coolant, trans fluid, rear end fluid and brake fluid
-New transmission mount
-Replaced valve stem seals
The car drives beautiful. I love this car because its TIGHT...virtually no squeaks or rattles. It drives as perfect as my '88 IROC with 21,000 miles on it. Every power option works properly, the seats are comfortable, the carpet, dash and headliner are perfect. Two things are wrong inside...leather wheel is worn, and the top of the rear seatback has a few splits in it from the sun. A trim shop quoted me $75 to fix the top of it.
The exterior is solid, with the original paint...and that's the issue. The paint is delaminating on the hood, roof and trunk. To look right, the car needs a paint job. This is a car well deserving of a paint job. The body is solid, as is the undercarriage.
I want to find this car a good home...$4,400 takes it. Only selling it, along with my '91 RS I just sold thanks to camaroz28.com, to make room in the garage for either an LS1 SS, LS1 Firehawk, or GTA Trans Am.

Re: 86 Trans Am - 32,000 miles
Bump...price lowered from $4,400 to $3,950, as I've already replaced my sold '91 RS with an '88 TA, and I'd like to get this out of the garage to have more space. I'm really gonna miss this car...you gotta drive it to appreciate it.
