1999 Firebird Formula WS6 1LE
1999 Firebird Formula WS6 1LE
Price: $23,500 OBO
Mileage: 8,560
ASC#: 1,887
ASC Hood sequence #: 72115
Build Date: January 22, 1999
Location: Plymouth, MI (suburb of Detroit)
This is one of the twenty factory 1LE's built for Pontiac. 1999 was the last year you could order a 1LE from GM, as a factory produced unit.
I purchased it from the original owner. He added a 4.10 GM gear set, Pro 5.0 shifter, Hypertech 160 thermostat & supplemental programming, and CAGS eliminator. I added the Nittos on the back (still have stock Goodyears), blacked-out rear fill panel, SLP Lid, and the GMMG exhaust. I have ALL parts to return to 100% stock, right down to the air filter, plus a brand new factory set of rear tail lamp assemblies and new stock rear fill panel w/ appropriate red icon still in boxes.
Paint condition: perfect. Interior fabric, carpet, all trim condition: perfect. Maintains "new car" smell. Original factory Delco battery still 100%. Oil changed once per year using Redline at first, then switched to Mobil One Full Synthetic recently.
It's been up here in Michigan all it's life, but has only seen occasional summer driving - no snow, no salt, no rain. Last local Pontiac/GMC show I entered it in one First Place, for what it's worth. Garage kept, under custom fitted cover.
No issues mechanically or electronic. The few accessories it does have run perfect. It does have air, and it's cold. The base CD player/stereo works. It's not a Monsoon - don't expect it to be loud, or sound great. The GMMG exhaust will keep your ears happy.
Please e-mail your questions, concerns, and flames on the price. Please, NO TRADES. E-mails regarding trades will not be returned. Thanks for looking.

By far the LS1 Formula WS6's are my favorite 4th gen f-body....and this one is a beauty! TTT for ya!
Before I bought my SS I was gonna go to Chicago to look at a red 1998 Formula WS6, this was back in 2002. It had 36K miles on it and the guy was asking 18K. It was not a 1LE. I was already to pull the trigger on it when I went up, but my dad approached me and said he wanted to get rid of his SS, so I did the smart thing and bought the SS with 12K miles on it for $10,000. My dad even let me pay him directly over 5yrs at 0%...but man, I often wonder what it would be like to have one.
Good luck with the sale!

IMO this is the dead sexiest car ive seen in a long while...I hope whoever buys this car is an f-body enthusiast who actually understands what this car symbolizes...this is about as American as it gets...best of luck
Couldn't agree more Kred - I'd rather not sell it to just anybody, but at the price point I'm at w/ this car, hopefully that means a potential buyer will take this car and appreciate it as much as I've tried to do.
