Re: 1993 Camaro Z28 Indy Pace Car
The Camaro Enthusiast Magazine published an article in January of 94 that listed all the VINs of 1993 Pace Cars and included which of the cars were used as Festival Cars. This information was supplied to the authors by Chevrolet Public Relations. If you would post or PM me the last seven digits of the VIN, I'll check it against the list and be able to tell you both, the track number and special event plate number your car was assigned. By the way, all the cars used at the race should have had a white number in the lower left corner of the windshield to indicate its track number. Out of curiosity, what is the number of the plate in the picture?

I have the photo at home but I think it was 120.

VIN 2107947 is shown as US Production #259 and US/Canada Production #279 and was listed as a dealer car.
The 120 special event plate was issued to VIN 210726 which was US Production #179 and US /Canada Production #199 and track number matched the plate assigned to it.
The reason I asked these questions was because I thought I read in the past all the cars used as Festival Cars were T Tops. I've looked back trying to find where I might have seen this, but have not found it. As for now, I can't verify there were no hardtops used, but according to the VIN, your car was not delivered to the track for use as a Festival Car. Check the window sticker for the dealer number it was delivered to. If it was used at the track, it should show 25- 164, which would be Bill Estes Chevrolet in Indianapolis, IN.
