Yellow top under hood

Yellow top under hood

can it be done? does anyone have any pictures??? cause a friend of mine swears it has to be trunk mounted but i could have sworn ive seen tons of pics of it done here.

Haven't seen you around in awhile. But your friend is wrong. You can in fact put a Yellow top under the hood as a starting batter. That's where mine is

yeah man my car was in the garage for the winter so id get depressed if i came here and talked about it lol yeah i knew he was wrong did u have to modify anything? cause he said "if they put it under hood they had to mod a bunch of stuff" and i love proving him wrong.

Why is that?

Anthony, The only problem I had was that the black plastic hold-down piece wouldn't go back in place with the bolt. So I just used a large washer with the bolt instead. I've heard that the plastic piece can be modified to work. But I just tossed it aside and used the washer.

I also don't have any clearance issues on top either. I've heard stories of the hood hitting the top of the battery. Mine clears fine and I have top posts.

yellow top battery. and thanks man now i can rub it in his face. he works at a sears auto center too lol

Yeah, I just had to notch the plastic hold-down a little bit to fit around the curve on the Yellow Top.
