Post XM Radio

Hey, how much does XM cost? And is it worth it? What are some features...oh yeah, and who do you pay the monthly bill to?
Thanx and God Bless

I just looked into this yesterday. I was quoted $10/month for XM and $12.99/month for Sirius.

Is it worth it? No. Not IMO. I don't spend enough time in my car to justify paying over $100 a year just to listen to the radio. Besides, I have over 1,000 CDs I can listen to.

I also didn't like the fact that I had to buy a new HU, the decoder box and a new antenna. Screw that noise!

I'm seriously considering it, but I just installed my Alpine deck w/ MP3. So, I'm good for tunes for a while. I beleive you need a box to connect, about $200.00, then $9.99 a month. If you're in the car a lot, sure. I'll probably get it eventually, don't know too many people that have it. Good Luck!@!

I can see the usefulness of it. I spend my summers in the middle of nowhere Alberta, also known as Wainright, where you get exactly 1 radio station. And let's just say that the music selection is a little tasteless. So for that reason, I could see buying it.

However, with music sharing, the competition is too steep. You can't beat free.

Worth it? To some. Not me, have tons of CD's and a DVD player in my car; Ill never run out of **** to do. I got it free, so I gave it to my mom. Drives about 2x more than I do.

Its pretty cool. You can get it all for about $225. You dont need a new headunit. There are some that work with any FM radios.
