Wiring up 6x9s, do I just cut the old connector piece off?

So I bought a new head unit and speakers. After I took the old 6x9s out I noticed they are 10ohms speakers and have a plug, not 2 wires.

do i just cut the plug off and use the 2 wires there or do I need to do something more?

thanks

well i see crutchfield has speaker plug adapters, but they sell 2 kinds, exactly the same except for the grounds/positive wires being switced, that really helps me know what I need lol

I don't know what crutchfield is talking about.
I would just go down to circuitcity or best buy
and get the speaker adapters.
Thats all I needed when I had my 85 Camaro.
