Ok I am going to get either 2 Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1 or 2 " 12.1d (dual voice coil). I am going to be using a MTX 6500D amp to power them, it produces around 750 watts rms at 2 ohms bridged. I cant think at the moment but which of the two subs should I get to achieve 2 ohms bridged (dvc or svc)? Thanks if its the dvcs also explain how to wire it, if its svc its kinda obvious. Thanks

 

Oh and crutchfield says that the Perfect 6.5 does not fit in the front of a 99 trans am. Anyone know if thats true (like in the stock component locations)

 

You will want the single voice coil design. (12.1) They have 4 ohm coils, so you will want to wire them in parallel. Positives together and negatives together.

And do you mean Perfect 6.1 ???? I don't see a 6.5 set. Unless you are meaning 6.5 inches! they maybe right. Our stock locations are 6.75" , but many 6.5" will fit. Some do. Some don't. To be sure, buy the adapters to make our holes 6.5". Crutchfield sells them. They are part number 142SAC656 ($12.00/pair).
