Lightbulb window

My power window quit working back in November, and like everyone else, I changed the motor. THe window worked great -- for about a week -- then quit.

I thought the new motor was dead so unhooked it. works great though -- i can press the button and the motor turns perfectly.

However, when I hook it back up to the mechanism inside the window, I can raise/lower the window four or five times, then quits. Evertime I remove the three screws, pull the motor out, then put back, it works four or five times, then quits.

needless to say, this is very annoying. Any suggestions?

It's a '95 BTW

Only thing I can think of is to grease the tracks on the window lifter thing. Sounds like there is a lot of resistance causing the motor to overheat.
