Will these work as replacements?

I blew a door speaker a while back and hunting for a replacement bose speaker. Will this work? I couldnt find anyone else that has one or part numbers to replace these with.

Also, I did a search on putting new headunits on with the bose. Im still a bit confused but the consensus I got was that it is ok with an adapter? Im not going for world class sound here but I have a cheap pioneer head unit offer and my car has a cassete deck

Your speakers are blown, and you want to replace HU. What do you need from Bose anymore???

Edit: In-door drivers are 6 3/4 inch, 6.5 will work, 3.5 wont

Re: Will these work as replacements?

ONE speaker is blown, and I want to get a new headunit. I was wondering if it will work and what I will need to do it. It appears to be the cheapest route to achieving a cd player and no blown speakers.

I looked into running new wires, putting in new speakers, completely bypassing the whole bose system. Its just too much money and im really not looking for amazing sound here. I priced it around 500 bucks to bypass it. Whereas replacing the speaker and getting a new headunit might be only <100 for a speaker, 50 for the head unit and then maybe another 50 for that adapter I found in the search. I just wanna play a cd...

Re: Will these work as replacements?

A lot of people run Bose's with aftermarket HU's without adapters, but myself, I wouldn't take this risk. I can check, probably I have Bose speaker (or pair) at home, not sure whether I still have them, If I can find them - you can have it for just a shipping.
You don't need to put a new wires, you can reuse the present ones. You can buy a pair of good speakers for around $100, and put a nice headunit for around the same price, wire them directly to headunit using Bose wires and call it a day. You can also (optionally) put another pair of speakers in sail panels, but two fronts are more then enough IMHO.

Edit: word of caution - in any case do not wire Bose speakers to new HU directly, it will blow under 2 ohm load
