Will this enclosure work for my Orions?

I have 2 12 inch Orion XTR's and I have a 1997 Camaro Convertible. I began fiberglassing my box today and I was curious would I be able to fit the 2 12's in just the lower well of the trunk? Would there be enough airspace? Or do I have to make a box that takes op the whole trunk? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

thanks,
Mark

How much airspace are you wanting?

Ok I just figured this out now.... the Orion recommends 1.5 cu ft. of air space for each sub. If I just had it in the bottom well of the trunk I would have 2.23 if I added 2 more inches to that I would have 2.7. I know its alittle short of what they recommend but do you think they would sound ok. Could I use polyfill to make up the difference? Also what is better having each sub in its own compartment or just leaving it and not dividing the box into 2 compartments?

Should be just fine it's withing .15ft3 of recomended. You could probably get away with .25ft3 if you use some polyfill

Yep sure can, just use some 3M spray glue to keep it against the walls and make sure it doesn't interfere with driver movement.

Go with two compartments if you can. Taht way if you blow one sub, the other is still safe. If they are in a shared chamber and one blows, the other will generally be damage b/c it's in a box twice the right size.
