Wierd turn signal flicker
Wierd turn signal flicker
While I'm here I'll ask another question.
When I activate my turn signals, they have a funky pattern. They usually blink once normal, then kind of do a quick stutter and blink twice, and then randomly blink, with sometimes abnormal pauses in between. All the bulbs are working good. What else can I look at? Fuses are ok too. It's not the stalk is it?

from what you say, I think two things:
1) you have a capacitance effect.
2) you have an intermittent open circuit.
I had the same problem, what I did was to change the socket for the bulbs and the bulbs themselves, that fixed it.

That could be it, since my front left turn signal housing leaks that bulb has gone out several times. The socket itself looks like crap, but I didn't think that would cause the problem. Thanks for the info. How much did the socket cost, and is it just a simple plug and play thing or do I have some soldering in my future?
